Characteristics and Trends of English Testing Research in China: Visual Analysis Based on CiteSpace

This thesis aims to have a visualized analysis of English testing from 1995 2020 in China with the help Scientometric software CiteSpace by drawing map keyword co-occurrence, time zone, and author cooperation network as well scientific research institution network. It found that between authors is not strong so do institutions. Besides, focus detected mainly include college English, formative assessment, teaching, summative assessment language testing. And according this field constantly moving towards enrichment refinement. Finally, based on mapping knowledge domains drawn CiteSpace, future development trends deficiencies are summarized.
